Safety Reminders

Spring weather has us a bit behind last spring.  Overall, based on reports from the field, it looks like we sit 7-10 days behind.  This is certainly not insurmountable! Corn is being planted.
A later spring will create a sense of urgency.  The tendency will be to rush, to cut corners, and to make compromises.  Resist this temptation.  We are not that far behind.

Spring, like harvest season, will mean a lot of tired employees.  Take time to rest. Hold regular safety meetings. Emphasize to your team the importance of not taking short cuts.

Taking a few extra steps to be safe will be especially important as we enter into a holiday weekend.  There will be more people out and about and traffic will be up.  Take your time, take a break, and be safe.
