Key Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, you will:

• Operate large agricultural equipment like loaders, spreaders, and commercial trucks
• Perform equipment maintenance
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, working with them on their fertilizer needs and actively soliciting new business
• Deliver and apply fertilizer to customer fields, using a mapping program for field identification
• Occasionally fill in for pickup or deliveries using your Class A CDL.

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role is a self – starter who takes pride in their work and possesses excellent communication and problem – solving skills.

• A Class A commercial driver’s license is required
• Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Experience in an agricultural background is helpful but not required
• Must be willing to learn new skills and software quickly
• Flexibility is a must, as the position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours during the spring and summer seasons (including Saturdays from April to June).

This position plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations during peak agricultural seasons. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently complete assigned warehouse tasks
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments
• Accurately sort, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Follow all instructions from the Plant Manager and support general facility maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety – focused work environment

Qualifications and skills

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory handling and order fulfillment

• Basic math skills for counting, verifying, and tracking inventory
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly

Agricultural Retail Credit Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Credit Manager to oversee our credit operations, manage risk, and ensure the financial health of our customer base across all locations.

Position Summary

The Credit Manager is responsible for establishing and enforcing the company’s credit policies, evaluating customer credit profiles, approving credit lines, and managing the collection of accounts receivable across our multi-state operation. This role requires a strong understanding of agricultural business cycles and their unique credit challenges, as well as exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Operations & Risk Management

• Develop, implement, and maintain effective credit policies and procedures appropriate for an agricultural retail environment, ensuring compliance across all locations.
• Evaluate new and existing customer credit applications (primarily farm operations) using financial statements, credit reports, and industry-specific knowledge.
• Establish and approve appropriate credit limits and terms for customers, balancing sales objectives with risk mitigation.
• Monitor account balances, identify high-risk accounts, and proactively manage potential losses.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to facilitate sales while managing financial exposure.

Accounts Receivable & Collections

• Oversee the accounts receivable ledger company wide.
• Directly manage the collection process, including timely communication with customers regarding past-due accounts.
• Negotiate and structure payment plans with financially distressed customers, leveraging resources like UCC filings when necessary.
• Ensure timely application of payments and resolution of all billing disputes.
• Report on the status of accounts receivable, days sales outstanding (DSO), and collection activities to senior management.

Leadership & Administration

• Provide training and support to local store managers and administrative staff regarding credit policy compliance and collection best practices.
• Ensure all necessary legal documentation, such as personal guarantees or security agreements, is properly executed and filed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed customer credit files.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual credit and collection reports, forecasting potential bad debt expense.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in credit/collections, preferably in Agriculture or heavy industrial sector.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, credit scoring, and general accounting principles.
• Legal: Familiarity with state-specific lien laws, UCC filings, and bankruptcy procedures relevant to New York and New England.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience with industry-standard accounting/ERP software.

Preferred

• Certification as a Credit Professional (C.C.P.) or similar.
• Direct experience managing credit across multiple physical locations or states.
• Familiarity with the seasonality and financial challenges unique to crop production and the fertilizer sales cycle.
